Junior IT Operations Consultant (international role)

Job Summary

For our European internal IT Operations within BearingPoint we are looking to hire an IT Operations consultant to be based in the Netherlands and travel 50% of the time to our other offices in Europe (for example; UK, Ireland, Finland, Norway and Sweden)

You will have overall accountability for End‐User satisfaction in the delivery and

implementation of IT products and services ‐ in one or more countries or firm wide projects.
This IT role coordinates internal and external work efforts necessary to ensure that the business’
requirements are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including (but not limited to) PCs, Macs, operating systems, hardware &software, and peripherals
  • Oversee provision of End‐User services, including ServiceDesk and Field Service activities 
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
  • Implement regional and local strategies where applicable and identify technology implementation strategies
  • Manage implementations within defined cost/benefit parameters
  • Print & Scan Management and administration
  • Asset (Laptop) Management and administration
  • Partial management of mobile telephone
  • Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts
  • Keep current with the latest technologies and with existing BearingPoint policies


Baseline Proficiencies 

  • Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent job experience
  • 2 ‐ 3 years job experience in a related field
  • Ability to effectively manage or contribute to projects
  • Analytical ability and decision‐making skills


  • Basic knowledge of IT Architecture and Design
  • Experience with End‐User IT support services desirable
  • Ability to interface and work with multiple teams across project boundaries and communication channels
  • Understanding of IT Risk and Security implications
  • Fluent communication skills, oral and written in English
  • Ability and willingness to travel (mainly in Europe) up to 80 travel days/year
