(Junior) Analyst Financial Regulation and Reporting

Your role

In this role, you will work in an international team to implement and advise on our market leading solution for supervisory- and regulatory reporting - ABACUS. Over 200 institutions worldwide currently use it and the solution will be a key driver of growth for the BearingPoint Netherlands practice. 

Your day to day activity will be supporting the development of new software requirements and managing software implementations. This will provide you with insights and knowledge in both, the financial industry and -products, as well as software development- and implementation projects.


Key responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor Dutch banking regulations
  • Assess the impact of the regulations on the existing products
  • Translate the requirements into functional specifications
  • Contribute to implementation using the company specific tools
  • Actively participate in testing process, developing comprehensive test cases and maintaining test data
  • Actively participate in the documentation process
  • Answer user questions about product or regulation
  • Contribute to process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Banking, Business, Economics or related fields
  • A junior professional with 0-3 years’ experience in IT or finance
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive, solutions oriented, autonomous and a team player
  • A strong analytical mindset and eagerness to understand and solve problems
  • Whilst not mandatory, some exposure to banking regulations would be beneficial
